Palm Sunday
Rather than seeing Jesus’s triumphant entry for what it was, the people saw it for what they wanted!
Those who were following Jesus, wanted an earthly king, who would come and topple their oppressors, and set them free from physical captivity.
Those who opposed him, saw him as a threat to their own authority and power, and feared that the response of the crowd would draw the ire of the Roman Empire!
Palm Sunday is not just Jesus’s final entry into Jerusalem, it is the beginning of Passion Week, and our own entry into a spiritual journey, where we as followers of Jesus get to walk with Him as He experiences the events that would take place over the next 7 days.
